How to choose a club

Check the programme for the night

At many clubs the programme changes from night to night. On some nights single men cannot enter, or the club lets in fewer of them. Other nights have a theme party. Choose the night with the same care as the venue.

Swingers bar or Naked Spa

A swinger club is a venue with a bar and a dance floor, where parties take place. Naked Spa is a spa with saunas and a pool. It holds swinger sessions only on certain days.

Entry rules and dress code

Each club has its own rules. You may need to become a member before you can enter. Some clubs suggest you book ahead, and some ask for an elegant dress code. The club card and the club's website tell you what applies.

City or suburbs

Entry to the suburban clubs is restricted, so check the card before you head out of town. It shows who may enter and how far you will travel from the centre. For a night out after dinner, a club in the city is easier to get to.

First time at a swinger club

• Start with a night that the club plans for couples.
• Before your visit, discuss your limits with your partner. Agree on a word either of you can use to stop.
• A “no” from you or from anyone else counts as soon as it is said and needs no reason.
• You can spend the whole night in the shared area just looking around. Nothing else is required of you.
• If you want to leave, you can do it at any point in the night.
