Dating in Germany for couples and conscious relationships

Dating in Germany for couples and conscious relationships

Germany has one of the most established open scenes in Europe. Berlin's club culture, Hamburg's Reeperbahn, Cologne's annual CSD, the polyamorous and BDSM communities present in most major cities — none of this is underground. It's a normal layer of urban life, recognised across the country and well beyond it.

The gap Gramsy fills

The culture is here. The tools haven't caught up. Mainstream dating apps assume one user, one profile, monogamous default. They don't have proper couple accounts, no real way to describe what a couple is looking for, no native vocabulary for poly families, swingers, BDSM dynamics. Most platforms treat these as edge cases, if they handle them at all.

Gramsy is built around the opposite assumption: a profile shows directly what each person is looking for, who they are open to meeting, and where their limits are. Our goal is to make the profile informative enough that the conversations that do happen have less friction, and the ones that wouldn't go anywhere can be skipped before they start.

A young platform, openly so

We're a new project, and we say so plainly. We build Gramsy for people who aren't served by conventional dating sites. Couples looking for a third, swingers, polyamorous families, BDSM, LGBTQ+ — these are overlapping communities, not the separate audiences the market tends to treat them as.

Privacy and honesty

For couples, we have a couple account: both partners use it together, see the same conversations, and make decisions jointly. If it later becomes more practical to have two separate logins, that can be set up — each gets their own credentials, while the profile and conversations stay shared.

Photos go through moderation before they're published. Public pages show only what you've authorised, blurred by default. The profile can be hidden from search results while keeping access via direct link — useful in cities where your professional circle is denser than the local scene.

Nicknames instead of real names; phone and email are hidden. Full identity is revealed only to the people you yourself decide to meet.

Cities in Germany

We're starting with four cities — Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne. If your city isn't on the list yet, sign up anyway: users from larger cities often travel to nearby ones for meet-ups, and the profile stays visible across Germany.
