Dating in France for couples and conscious relationship formats

Dating in France for couples and conscious relationship formats

In France, open couples, swing clubs, polyamorous families and the BDSM scene have a long history and a well-developed culture — this is far from a niche topic. If you live here and monogamy isn't your style, there are plenty of people around with similar experience — the challenge is finding a dedicated space to connect.

Why mainstream dating apps fall short

Couples looking for a third have to register as singles on most platforms, or explain their format in a free-text bio. Polyamorous configurations don't fit any standard template. Swingers are often restricted by community rules on general apps. BDSM preferences and limits can't be set in a structured way — at best, they end up in an "About me" field that no one can search or filter by.

On Gramsy, the profile shows from the start what the person is looking for, who they're open to meeting, and where their limits are. We aim to make profiles truly informative — so conversations with compatible people start on a foundation of mutual understanding, and incompatible matches get filtered out before the first message.

A young platform, openly so

We're a new project, and we don't pretend otherwise. Gramsy is built for people who don't fit on mainstream dating apps: couples seeking a third, swingers, polyamorous families, BDSM, LGBTQ+ — these are overlapping communities, not separate audiences as the market often treats them. From day one, we built the platform with couple accounts and unconventional formats as the default, not the exception.

Couple account and privacy

For couples, there's a real shared account: both partners use it together, see the same conversations, and make decisions jointly. You can switch to separate logins later without losing your shared profile or conversations — each partner gets their own credentials.

Every photo is manually reviewed before publication. Your public page only shows what you've explicitly approved; the rest can stay in "by request" or "private" albums. The profile can be hidden from search results while remaining accessible by direct link — useful if your professional circle overlaps with the local scene.

Nicknames instead of real names; phone and email are hidden. You only reveal your full identity to people you've decided to meet.

Cities in France

At launch, we're live in four cities: Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Nice. If your city isn't listed yet, register anyway: profiles are visible nationwide, and many users in larger cities often travel to neighbouring regions for dates and events.
