Privacy of intimate data
A Gramsy profile is shown in layers. The standard part is visible right away; intimate data is not.
Intimate data means:
- intimate parameters and preferences;
- photos from a private album;
- some fields in the "Ideal Meeting" section.
The main thing to know up front: when you fill in these fields, you are not publishing them. They remain closed until you choose to open them to a specific person.
Relationship formats and practices are handled separately: swing, poly, BDSM, and others. For short, both here and in the profile, we call them directions. They are also part of the intimate block, but they are shown by a matching rule. The rest is explained below in order.
What Is Visible in a Profile by Default
Everything you have filled in on your profile is visible to any platform user, except for the intimate data listed above. That data is not visible to anyone.
Directions are shown only to people who have declared the same thing, and only as a match. A person who has not listed any directions of their own will not see directions in profiles.
What You Can Adjust
You can hide your profile completely: then no one sees it except you. You can also remove it from search while keeping it available by direct link.
The intimate block has its own switch. In normal mode, the rule described above applies: direction matches are visible, but intimate data itself is not. In closed mode, even matches are not shown in the profile.
You can also limit who may message you and who may request access to your private album, for example only owners of verified profiles.
How to See Other People's Directions
A direction is visible when both sides have it. Add swing to your profile, and you will see it on profiles of people who have added the same thing. Until you have marked at least one direction, other people's directions remain hidden.
This is intentional: disclosure here is mutual, and it starts with you.
How to Search by Directions
Search by directions follows the same rule: it is available when you have listed your own directions in your profile. The filter offers exactly those directions.
As soon as you fill in this block, the filter appears in search and lets you search by the directions you marked. While there are no directions, there is no direction filter section in search either.
Why Profile Text May Be Rejected
Profile text (description, limits, headline, nickname) belongs to the open part: these fields are visible to everyone while the profile is enabled.
That is why intimate data does not belong in the text, for two reasons. First, there are closed fields for it, and by writing it in the text, you lose the ability to decide who will see it. Second, profiles are opened by very different people, and not everyone is ready to enter someone else's intimate life from the first lines. Closed fields address both points: they open to people who have taken a step toward you. If a moderator finds intimate data in the text, they will ask you to move it into those fields.
This is not about explicitness. You may write directly about sex and your preferences; profiles are not rejected for that. They are rejected when the text contains something that has its own separate closed place on the platform.
How to Open What Is Closed
The two closed layers open in different ways.
Intimate data
Here, a mutual exchange applies: both sides open to each other at the same time. You offer an exchange, the other person agrees, and you both see each other's intimate data. It does not work one-way.
An exchange offer waits thirty days for a response. Open access lasts a year, and either side can close it at any time.
Private album
Here, the process is different: you send the owner a request, and the owner decides. This is one-way access: by agreeing to show you their album, the person does not receive access to yours.
The owner can revoke access at any time. A refusal or revocation happens quietly: you will not receive a notification, and the request status is visible in your request list. If you are refused, you cannot send a new request right away: you will have to wait, and the interface will show how long.
Why It Works This Way
A profile should remain a story about a person. When the most personal things are placed on display, the platform turns into a list of practices and parameters. Gramsy is made for something else: so compatibility and boundaries are clear before communication begins, rather than replacing it.
That is why access is gradual. You open to the person you choose, and exactly as much as they have opened to you. A person who is still looking around does not run into someone else's details, while someone who is ready finds their people through matches.
There is also a practical consequence: intimate data cannot be obtained simply by browsing profiles. It opens only through an exchange or a request.
If Access Did Not Open
There may be several reasons: the owner declined the request or revoked access granted earlier; they have closed mode enabled for the intimate block; they accept requests only from owners of verified profiles; there is a block between you. It can also happen that you have not declared your own directions and therefore do not see other people's matches.
